Being fair to the people who make what we sell is not a slogan for us — it’s the point. This statement sets out the steps Cub Klub Store takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain.

Our business & supply chain

Cub Klub Store sells books, learning packs, toys and gifts, working with authors, illustrators, small workshops and print and manufacturing partners. Many are small, independent makers — relationships we value and manage closely.

Our commitment

We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. We expect the same of everyone we work with, and we’d rather pay fairly and move slowly than cut a corner that costs someone their dignity.

Steps we take

• Fair terms. Clear, plain-English agreements with makers, with fair pay and royalties written in — not negotiated down.
• Supplier standards. We ask manufacturing and print partners to confirm their labour practices and comply with applicable law.
• Provenance. We favour known, traceable suppliers and materials (such as FSC-certified wood and paper) over the cheapest available.
• Review. We keep our supplier relationships small enough to actually know, and we review risks as we grow.

Raising a concern

Anyone — a worker, a partner or a customer — can raise a concern in confidence by using our contact form. We take every report seriously and will act on it.
